\\September 2:

Today I'm updating the complete site, so here's the update in the Weblog.
I have put some 'Beertjes' online and put a link to the beertje-site on the homepage. here's a sample, I'm afraid it's dutch only.

Beertje is one of the comic series I publish now and then, It's basicly a series on the most terrible mannered teddy bear ever. He usually torments the other animal in the big forest with blowtorches, anvils and machine guns.
All gags have only one pic and a text, it's a new form of making comics for me, but it's rather challanging.

I'm thinking about a 'XangadiX Webring' site which will link to all the sites I've made and sites I am making now, this beertje site is ofcourse also accessible through the links section.

I also want to bring Gaaf.net to your attention, the site of my roommate spiff, since he found his way to coding for flash 5 he isn't doing much else anymore . and he's pretty good at it, check it out at gaaf.net.

I've also bought myself a mobile telephone and I couldn't resist to put a picture of it here :p

It's my beautiful nokia 7110 with a WAP function (this site may get wapped soon :)), I love the little thingy. Well enough bragging about my mobile telephone. And that's enough talk for one entry.

\\September 13:

It's busy here and it drives me kind of mad, The next update will include some new Pages I made for the Cleopatra Yearbook (which is also driving me crazy by the way, everybody wants me to make their page).
The Picture to the right (also included in that yearbook) is the poster for a musical I'm working on. A bigger version will be available in the stills section soon. As I said I'm working on several sites (one very intruiging project brought in by one of our national television networks, which is I'm afraid kind of classsified, I hope to tell more about it soon).

Apart from all that there is ofcourse the Academy which has me graduating this year. I have some ideas but I have my first meetings on this, this week with my councolors Paul Perry and Bill Spinhoven. That's also the reason I haven't been able to write an awful lot in this Weblog, I'm sorry for that.

Then I have to mention the film 'Clerks' I saw a few days ago from the same director as 'Dogma', Kevin Smith. I've also enjoyed 'Network' tonight. It appeals a little bit to Citizen Kain. It's a movie about television itself, describing the ins and outs of a television network and its people going utterly insane. It was quite brilliant IMHO, placing it in its time. (Which was 1976 I believe)

\\September 15:

I've been busy re- editing the web-log since my englisch is really bad in a lot of places, I really hope you guys can figure this thing out ;). I'll come to it again, I just did September and August.
I've been reading Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice and I loved it, the book is well written and tells the tale of the Vampire Louis and how he struggles with the necessity to kill and with the curse of being immortal. It takes us through the life of a three hundred year old vampire, the fight with his Vampiric Father (lestat) and his 'doughter' Claudia who was five when made a Vampire, Condemned to live eternally with the brain of a perceptive woman in the body of a child.I'm now Moving on to Erewhon by Samuel Butler, I got it from a friend of mine who thought I might like it. I've lend him 'The age of Spiritual Machines' by Ray Kurzweil

I've also found this interesting article in Wired. The Website of the project is rather interesting and it allows you to ask an AI questions. It then asks you to fill in 'Mindpixels', on which it expands it's knowledge. They've calculated that if they would had to type in all MindPixels themselves it would cost them 25 dollarcents each, so by using the AI you get to have a little piece of it. "own a piece of computer science history" as they state themselves.

\\September 16:

I couldn't help myself and I started reading the second part of Anne Rises Vampire Chronicals, The Vampire Lestad. Guess Samuel Butler has to wait a couple of days. Or..., mayble I'll read them at the same time though. :)

NOTICE: If you experience any networking troubles on this site please feel free to mail them to the webmaster at Minerva (my server), they just keep on crashing the webserver there.
If somebody has a 200 meg webspace on T1 to spare, please mail me.

Anyway, I've made another interface today simply because I like the colour yellow on the colour black. Look here for the result, or find it in the Stills section under Photoshop doodles.

Or try this one, also in the PS-doodle section, I've been toying around rather stoned with PS. :)\

well anyway, I've also been working with my administrator on my guestbook which will be implemented in the forum. It still has a lot of
errors in it and has'nt been designed yet for xangadix.net. But we're working on it :)

\\september 17:

YES!!!!, the guestbook (or Zoo of thoughts as we call it is ONLINE :), start adding to it here, I'm finalizing my updates for this weekend now and, looking back on it, find it to be a rather well-spended weekend.

I forgot to mention that I watched 'Bastards and Bridemaids' the other day and actually I still don't know what to think of it. The funny thing is for a Ductch movie it isn't to bad, but that should never be a criterium. Should I lower my standards for dutch movies? NO, so well it's an entertaining movie and I even taped it. But I think I'm going to tape another movie over it, I think that sais enough.

\\september 29:

This week several projects at 'Netvisit' went online, or 'Live' as we call it. Check them out in the Linxx section, or here: DoorGiftshop or Swinging. We are keeping up the good work. I'm also redesigning cleopatra's site tomorrow. Finally it will get some descent face :).

I've been reading The Vampire Lestad and what a brilliant book it was. I'm actually kind of sad I've finished it. A brilliantly written book on the Vampire Lestad, his whereabouts and his motivations, introducing us further in the world of Ann Rices'Vampires. Beautiful, plain and simple. I can't wait till the third copy comes in, the Queen of the damned.

Meanwhile I've been reading a book (for school actually) called Coercion, by Douglas Rushkoff. A book about what 'they' say, how we are constant onder the influence of smart marketeers and advertisers

The costumer has a split second of insanity. The mind goes blanc, the body paralyzes, the eyes get glassy. -a retired automobile salesman.

More qoutes from this very insightful book will follow.
